Profile of Megan Maningo

Megan is from the city of Dumagete and used to go to Silliman University. She comes from a family of 5. She has 2 other sisters, one will go to De La Salle University next year as a freshman while the other one is currently a resident in internal medicine. She studies in Ateneo De Manila University and she is taking Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary as a course with the tracks of Communications and Psychology. Megan decided to go to the Ateneo for a change in environment since she studied in Silliman since she was in kindergarten. She plans to start a family at the age of 30 right after her medical school and plans to have 3 kids. She also loves to read in her free time and usually sleeps as well. 

     As for her family, her father is in Tacloban because he is a district manager and because of this, he keeps travelling for his job. Her mom is staying in Negros and takes care of their house and she is also Doctor in internal medicine. That is why since Megan was a kid, she always wanted to become a Doctor, but she decided to be a Cardiologist before entering college. They used to have 8 dogs in the family, but they have 1 dog right now, a beagle and it is 9 years old. Although Meg lives in a dorm in Ateneo, she still finds time to communicate with her family and even goes back to Negros, her hometown during her breaks. She tries as much as she can to go home during Christmas break and Holy week since she can stay there for a long time. Megan also said “at the end of the day, I just want to be a successful Cardiologist and to save a lot of lives”.
